The score (0–100) is a heuristic from name length, how often the words are used to start or end registered .com names, and how well the words join. It is not a valuation. Words we have no statistics for get neutral values.

Questions about the Domain Score
How is a domain name scored?
The name is split into words and scored from 0 to 100 on length, how its words are used in registered .com names, readability and how it sounds. The result explains each part.
What is a good domain score?
A higher score means a shorter, clearer, easier name to say and spell. It is a guide to quality, not a price or a prediction of success.
Does the score tell me what a domain is worth?
No. Scores are heuristics, not valuations. The domain appraisal reports strength and deliberately gives no price.
Terms used on this page
- Domain name A domain name is the human-readable address of a website or email service, such as example.com, that points to servers through the DNS.
- Brandable domain A brandable domain is a short, easy-to-say name that works as a brand even though it may not describe what the business does, such as Google or Spotify.
- Domain appraisal A domain appraisal is an estimate of how valuable a domain name is. Automatic appraisals are rough guides at best, because real value depends on a buyer.
