Is a word getting more popular? See how many .com names contain it, and how many were added or dropped each day.

Counts only; no list of names is shown. “Appeared” means the name entered the .com zone since the previous snapshot (a new registration, or an existing name just given nameservers); “left” means it dropped out (deleted, expired, or put on hold). The zone cannot tell these apart. History starts when we began keeping daily snapshots and grows each day. Popular keywords are kept for up to 90 days; others show the most recent days only.

What does the keyword trend show?

For a keyword, day by day: how many .com names contain it, how many appeared in the zone and how many left it. Counts only; no list of names.

What do appeared and left mean?

Appeared: the name entered the .com zone since the previous snapshot, as a new registration or an existing name that just got nameservers. Left: it was deleted, expired or put on hold. The zone cannot tell these apart.

How far back does it go?

Popular keywords keep up to 90 days of history, building up from the first day we counted. Other keywords are counted live from the most recent days only.
