Expiring .com names that we have checked and found in redemption or pending delete, grouped by estimated drop date. The dates are estimates from the registry’s last-changed date and can be off by several days. Popular names are caught within seconds of dropping by automated backorder services, so a name listed here is not a name you can expect to get. Status is re-checked regularly, but always confirm with a live check or your registrar. Score is our heuristic for how good the name looks, not a valuation.

Questions about the Drop Calendar
How are drop dates calculated?
They are estimated from the registry's last-changed date for names in redemption or pending delete, so they can be off by several days.
Can I catch a name when it drops?
Popular names are caught within seconds by automated backorder services, so a manual attempt rarely wins. The calendar shows what is coming, not a guarantee.
Can I be emailed when a name on the calendar drops?
Yes. Press Watch next to a name, or the Watch a name button, and enter your email. You get one email when it becomes available. Pro subscribers can watch up to 50 names, also get a heads-up before release, and receive the alerts on Telegram too.
How often is the calendar updated?
Daily. It is rebuilt from the latest .com zone snapshot, and the page says which day it is from.

- Expired domain An expired domain is a name whose registration period ended without being renewed. It is not released at once: it passes through several grace periods first.
- Auto-renew grace period The auto-renew grace period is the time just after a domain expires, typically up to about 45 days, when the owner can still renew it at the normal price.
- Redemption period The redemption period is a stage of about 30 days after the grace period when a deleted domain can still be restored by its owner, for an extra fee.
- Pending delete Pending delete is the last stage before a domain is released: a period of about five days when the owner can no longer restore it and it is about to be deleted.
- Domain drop A domain drop is the moment an expired name is finally deleted by the registry and becomes available for anyone to register again.
- Backorder (drop catching) A backorder is a request to a service to try to register a domain the instant it is deleted. Drop catching is the practice of doing this at scale.
- RDAP RDAP, the Registration Data Access Protocol, is the standard way to look up whether a domain is registered and its status. It replaced WHOIS.
