Domain Cost Calculator

Compare the multi-year cost of extensions: the cheap first year, the renewal price after it, and how it stacks up against .com.

The first year is often a promotion; the renewal price is what you pay every year after. Totals add the registration year, the renewals and (if ticked) privacy. They are public list prices from one registrar's price list, not a quote, and exclude tax and any sale or coupon. You can add your own registrars' prices in dictionary/prices_custom.csv.

Questions about the Domain Cost Calculator

Why is the renewal price different from the first year?

Many extensions are cheap in the first year and cost much more at renewal. The calculator shows both so you can see the real multi-year cost.

Where do the prices come from?

From a public price list that changes often. Prices exclude tax and special offers.

How does it compare with .com?

It shows the cost of each extension over the years you choose next to .com, so you can see the difference.
